A series of serendipitous disasters led to this spontaneous meeting between John Kruth, Jonathan Segel, Attila Engin, & E# aka Noodle Shop at Sharp’s Studio zOaR. With the obituary of singular musical visionary Moondog fresh in their minds, the assembled quartet ran down a series of improvised songs drawing inspiration from the aforementioned Moondog as well as such diverse influences as Sun Ra, Jajouka, Harry Smith’s “old weird America”, and the Silk Road.

Moon Dog Girl was originally released in 1999 by Sparkling Beatnik Records.
